ABOUT WONBOYN LAKE

Wonboyn Lake is the southernmost estuary in NSW where Sydney Rock Oysters are commercially farmed.

It is situated approximately 25 kilometres north of the Victorian Border and is a perfectly positioned easy 6 hour drive from Melbourne and Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra.

Sydney Rock Oysters have been farmed in Wonboyn Lake since the late 1800’s and notations can be found in archival government gazettes expounding the quality of the oysters produced from the lake.

Oysters are sensitive to water quality and as there has been minimal human impact on the clear waters that flow through Wonboyn Lake, our oysters are known for being some of the best NSW has to offer.
